Catalogue Note
Elizabeth Follows was born in Aston near Birmingham but by 1851, Elizabeth aged 9 was living in Warrington with her widowed mother. Elizabeth attended Ackworth School from 1853-1857, after which she remained an apprentice in the school until 1863.
