Description

A 19th century copper carriage clock in the Gothic taste, probably by Alexis Falize, the pierced top section with hinged handle formed with griffins, the sides with twelve circular figures representing the agricultural months, Roman numerals to the octagonal dial, missing hands, the lower section with the praying mother of Christ attending by an angel with lillies between and words 'Angelus Domini Nuntiavit Qariae', the reverse with locking hinged opening compartment to the movement over two figures and the words Vigilate quia netcitis diem neque horam, 13cm high
