A JAPANESE IMARI TUREEN AND COVER
EDO PERIOD, C.1700
The circular body decorated in underglaze blue, gilt, red, green, and black enamels with shaped panels enclosing birds and flowering trees, in between large lappets enclosing flowerheads and karakusa scrolls, the lid decorated with similar scenes and the knop shaped as a fruiting branch of peaches, 19cm. (2)
