A JAPANESE SCROLL PAINTING
MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
Ink and colour on paper, depicting a troop of monkeys, one an adult carrying its young on its back, some primates resting on a rocky outcrop and others climbing on a branch of pine, a waterfall in the background, signed Sosen on the lower right corner and with two red seal marks, 113cm x 55cm.
