Field Marshal Wavell kindly accepted this scroll, signed Wang Shuming, the colonel general of the Nationalist Air Force of China, with his seal, and dated Christmas in 1942, inscribed by Wang Minzhi, 106cm.
Provenance: Field Marshal Archibald Percival Wavell, 1st Earl Wavell, GCB, GCSI, GCIE, CMG, MC, KStJ, PC, 1883-1950, and thence by descent.
