Description

TWO CHINESE GILT BRONZE FIGURES OF AMITAYUS
18TH CENTURY
Each seated in dhyanasana on a rectangular flaring throne with waisted foliate corners draped with a long cloth, fitted with a separate flame-bordered mandorla, their hands are in dhyana mudra and both with a jewelled necklace and robes draped over the left shoulder, the taller figure with a nine character Qianlong mark on the front edge, dated 1770, 1.07kg and 1.85kg, 21.6cm and 20.5cm.
