A CHINESE 'QIANJIANG' SCHOOL ENAMELLED VASE

LATE QING DYNASTY

The square-section body painted with panels of figures drinking tea and engaging in everyday pursuits, in landscape scenes amidst wutong trees, willows and pine trees, the waisted neck with lines of calligraphy and seals, the shoulder flanked with a pair of mythical beast mask handles, the interior of the neck glazed turquoise, the base with a six character mark of Tongzhi in iron-red, 40.7cm.
