A PAIR OF CHINESE CANTON FAMILLE ROSE 'FIGURAL' BOTTLE VASES AND COVERS
19TH CENTURY
Brightly painted with panels depicting courtly scenes, boys, flowers and birds, all divided by precious objects set amongst flowers, with bands of leafy floral sprays to the rims and gently spreading feet, the covers similarly decorated, 46cm overall. (4)
Provenance: from an English private collection, Somerset, acquired no later than the 1950s, and thence by descent.
