A CHINESE BLANC DE CHINE LIBATION CUP AND TWO WHITE GLAZED FIGURES OF GUANYIN

18TH CENTURY

The flared cup decorated in relief with blossoming prunus and another floral spray, the foot formed as stylised branches, the base with paper labels for Bluett & Sons and the South Africa National Gallery Chinese Exhibition 1953, no.179, each figure depicting Guanyin sitting on a large lotus flower surrounded by lotus leaves, she wears a veil and loose flowing robes, each goddess flanked by a bird and a vase, 13.8cm max. (3)
