A Susie Cooper Graduated Black Bands Kestrel tea for two pattern no.497, comprising teapot and cover, milk-jug and sugar basin, two cups, saucers and a side plate, painted in shades of black and canary yellow printed mark teapot 12.5cm. high Literature Andrew Casey Ceramic Designers in Britain Antique Collector's Club page 129 plate 137 for comparable examples. The Graduated Black Bands design was produced between 1933 and 1938.
