An Ashanti gold pendant
Ghana, late 19th / early 20th century
cast as a mudfish with fine detailing and a suspension loop,
4.5cm long, 26.1grams, tests as 18ct gold.
With a waxed paper label inscribed ' Gold ornament made by natives from gold dust, Kumasi, W.Af. Barker 1902.
