A Second World War group of four medals attributable to fatal casualty Sergeant J. W. Harry, No 75 (NZ) Squadron R.A.F.: 1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star, Defence Medal and War Medal, good very fine; together with Sergeant Harry's flying log book, the posthumous transmission slip for his medals, two badges, and three associated photographs.

75 Squadron was formed around a nucleus of New Zealand airmen. It was one of the highest achieving squadrons of the war, and had one the highest casualty rates. Sergeant Harry's period of active flying lasted less than two months, from January 10th until February 24th 1944, when his logbook is endorsed 'Death Presumed'.
