A United States model 1840 NCO's sword, straight blade 32 in., marked for Ames and dated 1864, cast brass hilt with shell guards and knuckle bow, brass mounted leather scabbard; together with a U.S. musician's sword, of similar for but with etched blade and ornately embossed hilt with folding inner shell, steel scabbard.
