worked in coloured silks and metallic threads with various stitches and techniques, depicting the Adoration of the Magi, with a view of a castle and a farmhouse, with birds, butterflies and flowers, in an elaborate border decorated with a lion, a stag, a camel, a leopard, birds, flowers and a dog chasing a hare, in an 18th century gilt and ebonised wood frame
