with forty-eight ivory buttons and with a signature panel, inscribed 'C. Wheatstone & Co. Manufacturers, London, W.C. 15 West St. Charing Cross Rd', numbered '1122' for 23rd May 1846, in a rosewood hexagonal case

Catalogue Note

According to the Wheatstone & Co. Concertina Ledgers, number '1122' was made for Lady Charlotte Denison, (1806-1889) (née Cavendish-Bentinck), the daughter of the 4th Duke of Portland.
