EARLY 19TH CENTURY
gilt decorated on a black ground with figures in various pursuits, with buildings and pagodas in a watery landscape, the hinged lid revealing a fitted interior with lidded compartments and divisions, with some carved ivory utensils above a silk lined pull-out bag, on pierced lyre shape supports united by a stretcher, on carved giltwood lion's paw feet
