Description

A set of four George III old Sheffield plated graduated meat dish covers,
by Matthew Boulton, circa 1815,
domed oval form, part-fluted decoration, detachable foliate scroll handles with gadroon borders, the front and back engraved with an armorial, in a fitted wooden travelling case, length of largest 53cm, length of smallest 35.5cm. (4)
The arms are that of Fowle impaling Everett, possibly for William Fowle who married Harriet Everard on 15th June 1799 at St. Giles in the Fields (London).
