A George II silver sugar caster,

by Frederick Kandler, London 1749,

vase form, with four raised scroll handles from shell motifs, part-fluted decoration, on a raised circular foot with a rope-work border, the pull-off pierced cover apparently unmarked, engraved with a crest, height 20.8cm, approx. weight 16oz.

The crest is that of Earl of Plymouth: Lewis Windsor (1731-1771), 4th Earl.
