A Regency mahogany secretaire bookcase, inlaid stringing and satinwood panels, the arched pediment with a carved urn surmount and globe finials above an arched corbel cornice to a pair of astragal glazed doors enclosing adjustable shelves, the base with a frieze drawer fitted a hinged baize lined slope, to compartments and further drawers in the well, later oval brass plate handles above a pair of panelled doors enclosing three drawers on bracket feet, 102.5in (260.5cm) h, 44.5in (113cm) w, 21.5in (54.5cm) d.
