Description
An Edwardian silver regimental goblet, The 5th Bengal Light Infantry,
by the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company, London 1902,
plain urn form, inscribed 'Presented to The Officers 5th Bengal Light Infantry by Lieut. Colonel A. P. Harris on Appointment 1902', height 17cm, approx. weight 6.8oz.
Lieut. Colonel Harris took over as Commandant on 18 March 1902. on the 12 January 1922, the Regiment was disbanded as part of the post-World War I reorganisation of the Indian Army.
