compressed circular form, engraved foliate scroll decoration and engraved with the Regimental badge, scroll handle with ivory insulators, plus a Victorian electroplated sugar bowl and cover, the 12th Madras Native Infantry, unmarked, circa 1865, lobed baluster form, hinged cover with a flower finial, engraved with The Regimental badge, scroll handles, height 19.5cm. (2)

The 16th Madras Native Infantry became in 1903 the 76th Punjabis and in 1922 the 3rd Bn,The 1st Punjab Regiment. The 12 Madras Regiment became in 1903 the 72nd Punjabis.
