Description

A pair of Regimental silver napkin rings, The 61st King George's Own Pioneers,
by James Dixon and Sons, Sheffield 1916,
circular form, beaded border, engraved with the regimental badge and numbered '12' and '3', approx. weight 3.6oz. (2)
Raised in 1807 as the Madras Native Infantry and by 1910 they had been re-designated 61st King George's Own Pioneers. In 1922 they was re-designated 1st Bn. 1st Madras Pioneers. They were disbanded in 1933.
