Description
Two Victorian and Edwardian silver Fiddle and Thread pattern table forks, The 74th Punjabis,
by J and A Savory, London 1840, and Robert Stebbings, London 1903,
the terminals engraved with the regimental badge, approx. weight 5.5oz. (2)
In 1903 the 14th Madras Infantry was re-designated the 74th Punjabis. During World War I they served in Hong Kong, India and Egypt. The Regiment was disbanded in 1939.
