A Victorian Irish Regimental silver Fiddle pattern dessert spoon, Royal Artillery Charlemont Garrison,
by John Smythe, Dublin 1850,
the terminal with the Regimental badge, the stem inscribed 'Charlemont' length 18.9cm, approx. weight 1.3oz.
This spoon indicates that there was an Artillery unit garrisoned at Charlemont Fort in County Armagh until 1858 when the Fort ceased to be used as a garrison.
