Description
By Asprey, an 18 carat gold 'Gatling' propelling pencil,
London 1915, also with a registered design number 632782,
plain cylindrical form, with a ring attachment, inscribed 'J.A.C Feb 29, 1918', length 9.5cm, approx. gross total 25.8g.
This pencil was known as the 'Gatling' pencil due to the resemblance of the internal lead storage chamber to a Gatling gun.
