rectangular form, engine-turned sides and base, the hinged cover inscribed 'Presented to Mr John McConnechy by the Tenters and Dressers of Burn Bank Factory as a testimony of their esteem and regard for him as Manager, A.D 1828', foliate thumb-piece, length 7.5cm, approx. weight 2.5oz.
