Description

A collection of bottle stoppers,
comprising silver examples: a George IV one by George Pearson, London 1820, shell handle, gadroon border, incised and blackened 'PORT', a Victorian silver-gilt one by Robert Garrard, London 1853, trailing grapevine form, with a glass stopper, plus others including a German eagle with spread wings, plus metalware and electroplated examples, twenty six Old Sheffield plated and electroplated stoppers, some with mother-of-pearl and two incised 'GINGER BRANDY' and 'BROWN BRANDY', and a ceramic bottle stopper.
