Description
A pair of silver and painted porcelain menu card holders,
retailed by Asprey and Co., London 1915, the reverse signed R. Ward Binks,
the oval plaques painted with a horse 'Patrick' and a dog 'Bobbie', on raised oval bases, length 6.8cm. (2)
Reuben Ward Binks (1880 - 1950) was a noted British artist in canine portraiture, Lakeland landscapes and wildlife painting. He painted dogs for three generations of the British Royal family.
