A LARGE CHINESE PORCELAIN IMITATION CLOISONNE MODEL OF A TIBETAN EWER, DUOMUHU

REPUBLIC PERIOD

Brightly painted with stylised lotus amidst scrolling tendrils, set against a turquoise ground, the curved spout painted with two phoenix, the handle as a stylised dragon, the domed cover with a lion dog finial, the base with a four character Qianlong mark, 49.5cm. (2)

Provenance: from the collection of James Sweeney, Magistrate and land owner in Co. Donegal, Ireland, acquired in the early 1940s.
