A RARE PAIR OF CHINESE WUCAI 'TIAN' JARS AND COVERS
YONGZHENG 1723-35
The compressed circular bodies and flat covers decorated with stylised flowerheads in aubergine, green, red, black and ochre, linked by underglaze blue scrolling tendrils issuing further flowers and green leaves, all between formal bands of lappets, the bases with tian marks, 9cm across. (4)
Provenance: formerly an English private collection, Hertfordshire, mostly formed in the 1950s.
