A CHINESE IMPERIAL FAMILLE ROSE RUBY-GROUND MEDALLION BOWL
SIX CHARACTER DAOGUANG MARK AND OF THE PERIOD 1821-50
The exterior painted with four gilt-bordered medallions containing flowering sprays including peonies, peaches, hollyhocks and pomegranates, interspersed with stylised lotus flowerheads on scrolling tendrils, set against a ruby sgraffito ground, the interior decorated with a roundel containing a flower basket, with further fruiting floral sprays and lingzhi to the cavetto, 15cm.
