A BURMESE LACQUERED WOOD FIGURE OF A BUDDHA
18TH CENTURY
Seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base, wearing a simple robe that is wrapped around the body and draped over the left shoulder, his face with a serene, meditative expression and downcast eyes, framed by elongated earlobes, and a ushnisha. 52cm.
Provenance: from an English private collection, London, acquired prior to 2000.
