A TIBETAN GILT-COPPER REPOUSSE FRAGMENT DEPICTING PADMAPANI
16TH/17TH CENTURY
The bodhisattva stands on a prominent lotus platform raised on a small elephant beneath a mythical beast and amidst stylised leafy scrolls, the reticulated panel with red cold painted pigments, 34cm.
Provenance: from an English private collection, London, acquired prior to 2000.
