AN IRANIAN BRASS MAGIC BOWL
17TH/18TH CENTURY
The interior engraved with magic numbers and talismanic inscriptions, the central omphalos with a floral cartouche, the exterior decorated with the twelve zodiac signs framed between two continuous bands of naskh script, 643g, 18.9cm.
Provenance: purchased from Christie's, London, on 15th October 2004, lot 167.
