A LARGE JAPANESE IMARI TUREEN
EDO PERIOD, 18TH CENTURY
Richly decorated in underglaze blue, gilt, red, yellow and purple enamels, decorated with a continuous design of many flowering branches of chrysanthemum, prunus and other plants, with bands of spirals and formal leaves above the foot, and a border enclosing further blooms underneath the rim, 21.3cm.
