A JAPANESE IMARI TUREEN, COVER AND LARGE EN-SUITE DISH
EDO PERIOD, 18TH CENTURY
Typically decorated in underglaze blue, gilt, red, purple, green and yellow enamels, with alternating blue and white panels enclosing chrysanthemum, peonies, and other flower sprays, the cover knop painted to the centre with a sixteen-petal chrysanthemum, 31.2cm max. (3)
