A JAPANESE BRONZE VASE (USUBATA)
MEIJI OR TAISHO, 19TH OR 20TH CENTURY
For ikebana (traditional flower arrangement), the lower half with a bulbous body raised on three scrolling feet, the sides decorated with buildings in mountainous river landscapes, the handles shaped as elephant heads with extended trunks, the upper section consisting of a removable circular tray wedged at the top, unsigned, 26.6cm. (2)
