A JAPANESE BRONZE OKIMONO OF A BOY AND OX BY SHUHO
MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
The small child depicted playing the flute while riding an ox, the bovine standing four-square and with its head slightly turned to the left, signed Shuho underneath, 32cm.
Provenance: an English private collection, Somerset, purchased in Japan.
