A JAPANESE BRONZE OKIMONO OF A BEAR CUB AND A TIGER
MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
Both animals realistically modelled, the feline baring its fangs whilst attacking the small bear, the distressed cub lying on its back as it attempts to defend itself, 21.5cm. (2)
