A JAPANESE BRONZE VASE BY GENRYUSAI SEIYA
MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
With a tall trumpet-shaped body and a foliate rim, the side embellished with a goshawk perched on flowering branches of prunus, the bird and flowers realistically modelled; the decoration rendered in high relief and with the eyes and some of the stamens gilded, the base with a two-character mark reading Seiya, 32cm.
