AN UNUSUAL JAPANESE SHAGREEN KISURUZUTSU (PIPE CASE)
EDO OR MEIJI, 19TH CENTURY
Of muso-zutsu form, the surface covered with fish skin, a white metal mount to the rim and a small loop to the back for suspension, together with a bamboo and silver kiseru (pipe), the kiseruzutsu 24.7cm. (3)
