ARCHER, York: Rgt:), engraved, some edge bruising, otherwise very fine; British War Medal 1914-20 (MAJOR B.H. ARCHER.), fissure in edge through naming, otherwise very fine; Victory Medal, Mention in Despatches emblem to ribbon (MAJOR B H. ARCHER.), near very fine; mounted for wearing. [4]

OBE: London Gazette 12/12/1919 for "services rendered in connection with military operations in Egypt and Palestine". Served in this period as an Assistant Provost Marshal. Twice Mentioned in Despatches for distinguished services with the British Salonika Force (L.G. 21/07/1917) and the Egyptian Expeditionary Force (L.G. 12/01/1920). Deputy Assistance Director of Railway Traffic E.E.F. from 29/06/1921. Relinquished his commission owing to ill heath in 1922. Offered with copy research
