A small collection of First World War medals to the 18th Battalion London Regiment (London Irish Rifles), comprising: a pair: British War Medal 1914-20 and Victory Medal (5866 CPL. J. W. FERRY. 18-LOND. R.), near very fine; another pair (2165 PTE. H. J. GIBSON. 18-LOND. R.), good very fine and near very fine; another pair (6853 PTE. H. GOMM. 18-LOND. R.), good very fine or better; and another pair (592345 CPL. J. W. GOULD. 18-LOND. R.), good very fine. [8]
Private Henry James Gibson served, latterly, in the Rifle Brigade. Corporal John W, Gould also served in the A.S.C. and was discharged on account of sickness 21/11/18 and awarded the Silver War Badge. Offered with research.
