Two Indian steel shields (dhal): the first adorned with snakes arranged in a knot work pattern around the four circular bosses and with brass foliate overlay all against a ground of fine silver and gold koftgari decoration, the back with fabric lining and pad, 35.5mm diameter; the second with chiseled decoration involving a war party with artillery and elephants, 46mm diameter.
