A Martin Brothers stoneware pawn chess piece by Robert Wallace Martin, dated 1901, modelled as a bearded man with cap, on flaring square section base, covered in an off white glaze, incised RWM sc 6-1901, Martin & Bros London & Southall, 8.5cm. high
