An unusual Martin Brothers stoneware grotesque face jug, dated 1890, modelled in low relief with a smiling face, the reverse with a similar face with toothy grin, the creatures long ears rising to form a central handle, glazed in brown with white highlights, incised 10-1890 Martin Brothers London & Southall, professional restoration, 17cm. high
