A Martin Brothers stoneware face jug designed by Robert Wallace Martin, dated 1899, modelled in relief with a smiling face mouth open with tongue slightly out, the reverse a grinning face, glazed in tan with white and black painted highlights, incised 4-1899 Martin Bros London & Southall, small glaze chip to handle, 18.5cm. high
