A Martin Brothers Pottery stoneware bird jar and cover by Robert Wallace Martin, dated 1892, the rotund bird with claw feet, short beak blue feather eyebrows and wings, in shades of blue, tan and green, highlighted with white, on ebonised wood base, painted Martin Bros 6-1892 London & Southall to neck, and indistinctly to the rim of the base, 19cm. high
