A Mezcala mask

Mexico, circa 700 BC - 300 AD

green serpentine, with parted lips showing the upper gum, a curved nose and eye recesses, probably previously inset, wearing ear discs and a stepped headdress, the sides and the back top edge pierced,

19cm high, 19.5cm wide, 7.5cm deep, on a stand. (2)
