of rectangular form, with gadroon and foliate shell borders, mounted with two cut-glass inkwells and a central circular box, with two pen wells and engraved with Prince of Wales feathers issuing from a crown, inscribed 'From C. M. Oct. 8th 1912', lacking nuts to underside
